Book Launch Event - The Far Northland: A Century of Wilderness High Adventure at Northern Tier

We are excited to announce the upcoming book launch event for “The Far Northland: A Century of Wilderness High Adventure at Northern Tier” by Dave Kenney. The book shares the evolution and spirit of the Northern Tier High Adventure program, from its humble beginnings to its status as the oldest National High Adventure program in the Boy Scouts of America. We invite our alumni, the Scouting community, and the general community to a special event.  Join us on May 31st at Northern Star Scouting’s Leadership Center at Base Camp in Fort Snelling (Minneapolis–St Paul) for an evening of adventure and celebration. 

The event will begin at 6:30 pm with book sales and signings by author Dave Kenney. You will have a chance to mingle with fellow adventurers and explore the book’s stunning visuals.

At 7:00 pm, author Dave Kenney will take the stage to talk about the book. He’ll share his experiences researching and writing about Northern Tier. Afterward, you’ll have a chance to ask your questions.

As the evening winds down, we’ll be showing historic 16mm films such as Les Voyageurs or A Canoe Expedition, giving you a glimpse into the history and traditions of Northern Tier.
